Sensory Dynamic Orthosis - SDO® Original Sleeve

SDO® Original is a made-to-measure Lycra® orthosis (Class 1) medical device. The SDO® Original Sleeve is used to increase the proprioceptive and sensory feedback as well as providing some musculoskeletal support. It is fitted from just above the wrist to the deltoid insertion.­ Used to increase cutaneous and proprioceptive feedback whilst providing some musculo-skeletal support, the SDO® Original Sleeve is a completely bespoke orthosis. Choosing and selecting from our complete range of reinforcement panels, combined with the orthosis option and chosen theme, the the desired result is achieved.

The anticipated response may include:

  • Elbow extension
  • Forearm supination
  • Improved muscle tone
  • Improved proprioception
  • Reduction in high tone
  • Improved quality and fluency of movement of the upper limb
