Sensory Dynamic Orthosis - SDO® Original Glove

SDO® Original is a made-to-measure Lycra® orthosis (Class 1) medical device. The SDO® Glove has been designed with open tips to the digits for the management of increased tone or where there is poor stability due to hypermobility. Reinforcement panels can be added to assist MCP extension of the fingers as well as extension and abduction of the thumb. This garment can be extended to below elbow or attached to a full arm sleeve. The SDO® Original Glove is a completely bespoke orthosis. Choosing and selecting from our complete range of reinforcement panels, combined with the orthosis option and chosen theme, the the desired result is achieved.

The anticipated response may include:

  • Thumb abduction
  • Improved finger extension
  • Wrist extension
  • Elbow extension (with full arm sleeve)
  • Forearm supination
